Terms of use

Last updated 24 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and BidWrap when you use it. BidWrap is run by Rob Durston, a sole trader in Northern Ireland, trading as Rob Durston Photography (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using BidWrap, you agree to them. If you use BidWrap for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.

1. BidWrap is still being built

BidWrap is in an early testing stage. Features will change, some may be removed, and things will sometimes go wrong. Please check documents before you send them, and tell us about problems using Report a problem in the app. During testing, BidWrap is free.

2. Your account

  • BidWrap is for business use. You must be 18 or over to have an account.
  • Keep your password to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account, including anything done by people you invite to your business.
  • You must give us a working email address, because that is how we reach you.

3. Your data stays yours

Everything you put into BidWrap about your business, clients, jobs, documents, receipts and kit belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only so that we can run BidWrap for you. You can download all of it at any time from Settings, under Backups.

4. How we look after your clients’ information

When you put information about other people into BidWrap, such as your clients’ names, addresses and emails, you are the controller of that information and we are your processor. We agree to:

  • use it only to provide BidWrap to you, and only as these terms and your use of BidWrap instruct;
  • make sure anyone who can access it is bound to keep it confidential;
  • keep it secure, as described in our privacy page;
  • use only the providers listed on the privacy page, under agreements that give the same protection, and tell you before adding new ones so you can object;
  • help you answer requests from people exercising their rights, and help you meet your own security and breach reporting duties;
  • tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your information;
  • delete it when your account closes, as described on the privacy page, unless the law requires us to keep it;
  • give you the information you need to show these promises are kept.

You agree that you have the right to put this information into BidWrap and to have us process it, for example because you need it to do business with your clients.

5. Using BidWrap properly

You agree not to:

  • use BidWrap for anything illegal, fraudulent or misleading, including invoices for work that did not happen;
  • try to get into other businesses’ data or parts of BidWrap you are not meant to reach;
  • overload, disrupt or copy BidWrap, or use automated tools to pull data out of it, other than the downloads it offers;
  • use BidWrap to send emails that are unwanted, abusive or not about genuine business.

6. Tax, invoices and advice

BidWrap helps you prepare estimates, invoices, tax summaries and accountant packs, but it does not give tax, legal or accounting advice. Tax rates and settings are yours to check. You are responsible for your invoices, your tax returns and keeping your records for as long as the law requires. Ask your accountant before relying on anything BidWrap works out.

7. Emails and reading receipts

Emails you send from BidWrap go out from a BidWrap address in your business name, with replies coming to you. You are responsible for who you send them to. Receipt reading is done by an automated service and can make mistakes, so check what it fills in.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep BidWrap running and your data safe, with nightly backups, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults, especially while it is being tested. We may change or stop features. If we ever decide to close BidWrap, we will give you at least 60 days’ notice so you can download your data.

9. Prices

BidWrap is free during testing. Before we charge anything, we will tell you the price and give you at least 30 days to decide. You will never be charged without agreeing first.

10. Responsibility if things go wrong

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Apart from that, we are not responsible for lost profits, lost business, or losses we could not reasonably have foreseen. While BidWrap is free, our total responsibility to you for anything else is limited to £100. Once you pay, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.

11. Ending

You can stop using BidWrap and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we reasonably can. Either way, you can download your data first.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you at least 30 days before. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the change applies.

13. BidWrap itself, and your ideas

BidWrap, its software, design and name belong to us. These terms let you use it, but do not give you any other rights in it. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.

14. If BidWrap changes hands

We may transfer these terms, and your account, to a company we set up or to anyone who takes over BidWrap. Your rights under these terms stay the same, and we will tell you if this happens. You may not transfer your account to someone else without our agreement.

15. Other legal points

  • These terms, with the privacy page, are the whole agreement between us about BidWrap.
  • If a court decides part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as an outage at one of the providers listed on the privacy page.
  • If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.

16. The law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland deal with any dispute, unless you are a consumer entitled to bring a claim where you live.
